WOOD CARE & USAGE

OroSee wooden products are made with a natural and environmentally friendly mindset. Each item is made of 100% barrel wood without any chemical treatment and delicately handcrafted by master woodworkers.

Hand wash lightly with a neutral detergent and gentle scrubbing under running water before use.
After washing, dry thoroughly with a dry cloth before storing.
Orosee wooden products are coated with a natural oil finish; therefore, prolonged exposure to water may eventually reduce the glossiness of the product's surface and expose the wood texture. This is natural for wooden products, and special care is necessary to remove wood fluff and bring back the shine. (See the special care instructions below.)
To disinfect the wooden cutting board, please wash the surface thoroughly with water. Then, use lemon and salt or vinegar to rub the surface before washing again with water. (Do not use baking soda.)

Wood product care notes:

Prepare some sandpaper (Super fine grit: P400-P600 for polishing), mineral oil for wood finishing, and a dry cloth or paper towel.

Once the wood product is entirely dry, softly sand down the surface with sandpaper following the grain of the wood. (This is critical because sanding across the grain can damage the product.)
After removing sanding residue, add oil to a dry cloth and apply thoroughly to the entire surface.
Make sure to dry all day in the shade in a well-ventilated area until the oil is sufficiently absorbed.
Wash with water prior to use.

Precautions for use:

Avoid storing in direct sunlight or humid environments.
Using heat-generating appliances such as dishwashers and dish dryers may cause warping or cracking of wooden products.
Refrain from soaking in water as much as possible after use as this may cause bending or cracking of the wood.
Do not dry in direct sunlight, boil in water, or microwave for disinfection.

Characteristics:

Due to the nature of wooden products, each product has a slightly different wood grain and color.
Each item will have a unique wood pattern which may include small knots, dark spots, or lumps on the surface. These are not mold or item defects but features of the natural wood.
Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, each item has its own unique character and imperfections, so there may be a slight difference in product size.
Any natural oil or wood scents will disappear gradually over time.
